Alfons Nowacki

Alfons Nowacki (* around 1935 in Bönen near Unna in Westphalia ) is a German composer and pianist .

Nowacki came to music at the age of 9 through playing the organ . He studied piano with Franz-Peter Goebel at the Musikhochschule in Detmold , was trained as a conductor with Gustav König , Günter Bialas and Giselher Klebe were his composition teachers.

From 1961 to 1999 he worked as a drama conductor at the theater in Essen , where he worked on numerous programs, including larger arrangements and revues. In Essen he also met Hansgünther Heyme . He has worked with him in many ancient dramas and has taken on the setting and rehearsal of the choral texts.

Guest performances have taken him regularly to the Schauspielhaus Bochum , the Theater Bremen , the Vienna Burgtheater , the Theater der Stadt Antwerp , the Zürcher Schauspielhaus and others. a.

He has worked as a pianist and composer at many festivals, such as the Wiener Festwochen , the Ruhrfestspiele , the Steirischer Herbst in Graz 1998, regularly at the Rheinische Musikfestspiele, at the Carinthischer Sommer 1989 with Werner Hollweg . As a pianist, he has performed with Brigitte Lebaan, among others, and now regularly with Ulrike Neradt .

For the Kurt Weill Festival in Dessau , Nowacki wrote the short opera: Fleischer und Frau, based on a text by Heiner Müller .

He has had a long and fruitful time with Manfred Karge through the Schauspielhaus Bochum, the Vienna Burgtheater and the Berliner Ensemble in Berlin.
