Senator Alfred Dreger

Alfred Ludwig Paul Christian Heinrich Dreger (born August 17, 1888 in Lübeck , † July 22, 1979 in Hamburg ) was a German trade union secretary and senator of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.

Life

Alfred Dreger attended the St. Jürgen boys' school (today Kalandschule). For Schlosser, he was in the locksmith of Co. Friedrich Ewers & trained. After completing his apprenticeship, he went hiking and returned to his hometown in 1912. Until he was drafted into army service in January 1916, he worked as a mechanic at the Drägerwerk . After the war he became an employee of the General. Trade union confederation .

From 1919 to 1925 he was elected to the Lübeck citizenship for the SPD . Here he became spokesman for the citizens' committee in 1921 . During his time in the citizenry he worked in all constitutional commissions of the citizenry. His field of work was social policy, trade union and economic policy.

On April 27, 1925 he was appointed honorary senator of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck. Dreger was later a full-time director of the AOK in Lübeck. He resigned from his position as senator on October 22, 1930. In 1947 he moved from Lübeck to Hamburg.
