Alfred Noell

Alfred Noell (* 1933 in Hönningen ) is a German author, journalist and television director. He played a major role in the television program The 7th Sense .

Live and act

Noell volunteered at Hildener Zeitung - Rheinisches Tageblatt from 1953 and went to the Rheinische Post in Düsseldorf in 1956 . In 1959 he designed reports for television himself for the first time. In the following year he founded his own company and started working as a permanent freelancer at WDR . His company, Cine-Relation GmbH, edited many contributions for ARD and ZDF and by the end of 1998 had made around 6,000 films, TV series and commercials.

After the step into self-employment, Noell concentrated increasingly on content from the areas of motor and traffic. His first series with the title “Tips and Tricks for Motorists” appeared with 72 episodes in the WDR regional program Hier und heute . At the same time, he was constantly creating reports on motorsport, which could be seen in the main ARD program . During his 20 years of work for the station, he contributed to several hundred programs on motorsport, such as the World Rally Championship and 17 reports on the Monte Carlo Rally .

In 1966, Noell conceived and created the concept of the series The 7th Sense . As a writer and director, he designed 220 episodes of the series by 1970, for which he received several international awards. He then headed the press department of the Ford works for three years before working as an independent entrepreneur with Cine-Relation GmbH for television broadcasters, automotive groups, ministries and associations. From 1986 he worked as a contract producer for the WDR for the 7th sense .

At the beginning of the 1980s, Noell co-founded the Association of the Television, Film and Video Industry in North Rhine-Westphalia and took over the management as its board member for six years. In cooperation with the government of North Rhine-Westphalia, he created a template for a state film funding law.

Noell always dealt with the interests of children and created series for ARD and ZDF that could be seen in the afternoon program, including the 72 episode series Herr Daniel passt auf , What Kalle Quast does not fit with 46 episodes for the youth program A series of tips for active people , Kalle's paste company and the fairy tale Zauber um Romana intended for children , which is 6 x 30 minutes long, can be seen over a number of years and includes 13 × 25 minutes per year .
