Ramona Leiß (born May 7, 1957 in Munich ) is a German television presenter , actress , artist and children's book author .

Life

After graduating from high school, Ramona Leiß studied German language and literature , theater studies and chemistry for a few semesters before working as a radio broadcaster from 1981 to 1985, and from 1982 to 1990 also as a radio presenter and TV announcer for Bayerischer Rundfunk .

Her debut as a television presenter followed in 1984 with the program Current Schaubude on NDR , which she presented for 147 episodes until 1987. From 1985 to 2000 she was also a presenter at ZDF , including in 38 episodes of the Knoff-Hoff Show (1986-1992), various folk music programs and from 1993 to 1999 at the ZDF TV garden and from 1994 to 1997 at the ZDF winter garden . From 1988 she also presented on ARD , from 1991 to 1993 also on Sat.1 (including 64 episodes of the golden hit parade of folk music ). From 2001 to 2009 she moderated programs on MDR , including the music journal Ramona . In September 2008 she played the character Helga Hölzl in six episodes of the ARD series Sturm der Liebe .

After the fall of the Berlin Wall , she and Pit Weyrich presented the big New Year's Eve gala on December 31, 1989 on ZDF. a. with the appearance of David Hasselhoff at the Brandenburg Gate .

Leiß was involved as a moderator and ambassador for the initiative against bone loss and those affected by osteoporosis. Together with the German Cancer Aid Association and soccer commentator Jörg Dahlmann , she published the patient guide for colon cancer .

In January 2012, Leiß was in the sixth season of the RTL television program Ich bin ein Star - Get me out of here! to be seen as a resident of the jungle camp.

Ramona Leiß has written a number of children's books, edited a number of songbooks and wrote texts for hits, pop and folk songs. She wrote u. a. for David Hasselhoff, Katja Ebstein (for example, she wrote the ARD TV lottery song for them in 1986 together with Hanne Haller ), Slavko Avsenik and Tommy Steiner . For her services in the field of folk music she was awarded the Hermann Löns Medal in silver in 1993 and in bronze in 1994.

From a previous relationship with media manager Fred Kogel , Ramona Leiß has a son, Alexander, who was born on August 11, 1983. She currently lives in Munich and announced to the public in May 2008 that she was living with a woman, and on this occasion also discussed her four-year relationship with the pop singer and composer Hanne Haller in the 1980s. 2014 partnered to Leiß and her partner.
