Pit Weyrich

Pit Weyrich (born October 19, 1948 in Hamburg ) is a German television presenter and director .

Life

Weyrich is the son of songwriter and producer Fred Weyrich . He started his own career in 1969 as a cameraman . After a short Assistant director he took over in 1976 for ZDF which directed the songs Circus and Jazz on ZDF . This was followed by directing work for the ZDF hit parade , well something! , Show Express and Laugh again .

At Hard to believe , an entertainment program with a hidden camera on ZDF, he joined in 1986 for the first time as a presenter in action. He later moderated the guessing games The Better Half (ZDF) and Haargenau ( SDR ). After the fall of the Berlin Wall , he and Ramona Leiß presented the New Year's Eve gala at the Brandenburg Gate on December 31, 1989 on ZDF . In 2003, Weyrich also moderated call-in competition formats for a few months on the Munich quiz channel 9Live , including the interactive cooking show Do you want? - We cook! . He directed Jürgen Fliege's ARD talk show for eleven years .

As director, Weyrich is responsible for André Rieu's gala shows and until 2010 directed the folk music festivals with Florian Silbereisen . In the summer months he also directs the ZDF television garden with Andrea Kiewel .

Weyrich was in a relationship with the singer Gitte Hænning and married the actress Simone Brahmann , with whom he has a daughter (* 1988). Since August 2008 he has been in a relationship with the singer Isabel Varell , whom he has known for 25 years and with whom he has been married since August 2015. Weyrich lives in Cologne.
