Alfred Weise (geologist)

Alfred Paul Walther Weise (born June 11, 1872 in Eisleben , † August 14, 1934 ) was a German geologist , mining captain and member of the German Saar delegation in Paris .

Life

After graduating from high school, Alfred Weise entered the civil service as a mining enthusiast . On June 22nd, 1897, he passed the Bergreferendar -Examen, on December 29th, 1898 at the University of Leipzig with a thesis on the minerals to be reserved in a general German mining law to the Dr. phil. doctorate , and on May 28, 1901 he passed the assessor exam .

In 1901, Weise took up his first position as a mining assessor and "auxiliary worker" at the Gerhard Berginspektion in the area of ​​the Saarbrücken mining directorate , where he was promoted to mining inspector in 1904. In 1914 he moved to the Dudweiler mining inspection as deputy director and received the title of mountain ridge . The following year he was reassigned to the Gerhard Berginspektion as deputy director and rose to mine director and member of the Saarbrücken mine directorate in 1916. In 1920, Weise initially worked as a member of the German Mining Commission in Saarbrücken and in the same year moved as Oberbergrat to the Oberbergamt Dortmund , where he became department head in 1922 and Oberbergamt director in 1925. In 1929 he was appointed mining captain of the Clausthal-Zellerfeld mining authority and a member of the German Saardelegation, which had to negotiate with the French government on the reintegration of the Saar area into the German Reich on behalf of the Reich government by Hermann Müller , and in 1933 he retired.
