Alina Stadnyk-Machynja

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Alina Vjatscheslaviwna Stadnyk-Machynja ( Ukrainian Аліна В'ячеславівна Стадник-Махиня ; born January 3, 1991 ) is a Ukrainian wrestler . In 2013 she became European champion in the weight class up to 67 kg.

Career

Alina Machynja started wrestling as a teenager in 2000. She later married Roma Stadnyk from the Ukrainian wrestling family Stadnyk / Stadnik, to which Andrij , Wolodymyr, Alla, Mariya and Jana also belong. Since then she has been called Stadnyk-Machynja. She is a student and belongs to the Dinamo Donetsk sports club , where she is trained by Vitaly Ponomarev.

Right at her first start at an international wrestling championship, she took second place in the European Junior Championship (age group Cadets) in the weight class up to 70 kg in 2008. At the Junior World Championships in 2007 in Istanbul in the "Juniors" age group, however, she had to be content with 7th place in the weight class up to 67 kg. From 2009 to 2011 she achieved great success in the junior sector. She was Junior World Champion in Ankara in 2009 in the weight class up to 67 kg, ahead of Julia Alborova from Russia. In 2010 she first became Junior European Champion in Samokow ahead of Maria Selmaier from Germany and then also Junior World Champion in Budapest, each in the weight class up to 67 kg. In Budapest she won ahead of Jenny Aardalen from Norway. She finally won her fourth title in a row in the junior division at the European Junior Championships 2011 in Zrenjanin, where she again won in the weight class up to 67 kg ahead of Oksana Nagornich from Russia. At the 2011 Junior World Championship in Bucharest, she just missed her fifth title. She was defeated there in the semi-finals against the American Adeline Gray and was therefore "only" able to secure a bronze medal by beating Maria Selmaier there.

In 2011 Alina Stadnyk-Machynja also made a successful debut at the international women's championships. This year she reached the final at the European Championships in Dortmund with victories over Aurora Fajardo Prieto, Spain, and Yvonne Englich-Hees , Germany, in which she was defeated, however, against Nadezhda Semenzowa from Azerbaijan. She became vice-European champion. She then achieved a good 5th place at the World Championships for Women in Istanbul. Here, however, she was lucky with the regulations. It was there that she lost her first fight against the Bayan monk from Mongolia. But since this reached the final, she was able to continue in the consolation round, in which she also lost to Yoshiko Inoue from Japan and then retired. So she achieved this 5th place at a world championship with two lost fights - without a doubt a weakness of the regulations.

In 2012 Alina Stadnyk-Machynja tried to qualify for the Ukrainian Olympic team in the weight class up to 63 kg in Ukraine. But she didn't succeed. She started in 2012 at the World Championships in Strathcoona County / Canada, where she, again in the weight class up to 67 kg, with victories over Laura Skujina, Latvia and Irina Bogdanowa, Russia and defeats against Dorothy Yeats , Canada and Hong Yan , China, came back to 5th place.

In March 2013 she became the new European champion in the weight class up to 67 kg in Tbilisi. She defeated Swetlana Babushkina, Russia, Galina Levtschenko, Belarus, Daria Osocka , Poland and Ilana Kratysch , Israel.
