Alina Zellhofer (born March 31, 1987 in Linz ) is an Austrian sports presenter and journalist for ORF .

Career

Zellhofer is the daughter of the former soccer player and current sports director Georg Zellhofer . She gained her first experience in the media world at Radio Upper Austria and local TV stations. After graduating from high school, she deepened this and studied journalism and media management in Vienna . Zellhofer also did an internship at the ÖFB and in the ORF TV sports department. This was followed by several months abroad at the University in Vancouver and at ZDF in Berlin . After completing her studies, she worked from 2010 to 2012 in the current service in the ORF regional studio Upper Austria in Linz . Born in Linz, she has been part of the ORF-TV sports editorial team in Vienna since 2012 and works there primarily in the areas of football , alpine skiing and snowboarding . Since November 2016 she has been presenting Sport aktuell and since September 2018 Sport am Sonntag , where she is the first presenter in the history of the show.

In 2016 she acted as a presenter at the European Football Championship in France and at the Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . In 2018 she moderated at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang and at the 2018 World Cup in Russia .
