Alexandra Rose "Alix" Klineman (born December 30, 1989 in Manhattan Beach , California ) is an American volleyball and beach volleyball player .
Career hall
Klineman played volleyball at Stanford University from 2007 to 2010 . Since 2008 she was also a member of the US national team , with which she won the bronze medal at the 2011 Pan American Games . Then the outside attacker played in the Italian "Serie A1" with Scavolini Pesaro and MC-Carnaghi Villa Cortese . In 2013, Klineman was suspended for thirteen months for a doping offense. In 2015 she won the Italian Cup with Igor Gorgonzola Novara . Klineman then spent two years in Brazil at Praia Clube Uberlândia .
Career Beach
In 2017, Klineman switched to beach volleyball and initially started alongside Jace Pardon and Lane Carico on the US AVP tour . Since 2018 she starts with April Ross on the FIVB World Tour and won her first tournament in The Hague . After further victories on the World Tour 2018/19 in Yangzhou and Itapema , Ross / Klineman became vice world champions in Hamburg . A week later, after winning the 5-star tournament in Gstaad , they climbed to number one in the world rankings.
