Allan Smith (born November 6, 1992 in Paisley ) is a British high jumper .

Athletic career

Allan Smith gained his first international experience at the U23 European Championships in Tampere in 2013 , where he won the bronze medal with 2.26 m. In 2015 he qualified for the European Indoor Championships in Prague , where he was eliminated with 2.19 m in the qualification. Two years later he took part again in the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade and this time finished eighth with 2.18 m in the final. During the outdoor season he took part in the Summer Universiade in Taipei , where he finished fourth with 2.23 m. In 2018 he took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast for the first time , where he finished fifth with a new personal best of 2.27 m.

In 2014 and 2019 , Smith was British outdoor champion and in 2015 and 2017 indoor. He is a student at Edinburgh Napier University .
