Allan R. Vaché (* 16th December 1953 in Rahway , New Jersey ) is an American jazz - clarinetist of mainstream jazz and swing .

Allan Vaché is the younger brother of cornetist Warren Vaché, Jr. and the son of bassist Warren Vaché Sr. During his early years as a musician, he worked in the New York area with Bobby Hackett , Wild Bill Davison , Bob Wilber and Lionel Hampton . After graduating from Rahway from 1959 to 1971, he studied at Jersey City State College from 1971 to 1975 . During this time he also took clarinet lessons from David Dworkin of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and from Kenny Davern . In 1975 Allan Vaché became a member of the Jim Cullum Jazz Band from San Antonio, Texas, with whom he toured, recorded numerous records and appeared on radio shows such as Riverwalk Jazz until 1992. He then worked as a freelance musician, performing as a soloist at jazz parties and numerous festivals. Among other things, the band performed with the jazz opera Porgy & Bess , such as at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC and at "The Cervantino Arts Festival" in Mexico City on behalf of the US State Department . In 1993, Allan Vaché moved to Orlando , Florida where he performed at amusement parks such as Disney World , Church Street Station, and Rosie O'Grady's . Since the 1990s he has recorded a number of albums for the record labels Audiophile, Jazzology and Arbors Jazz , among others. a. with his brother Warren, Bob Haggart , Bucky Pizzarelli and John Bunch as guest musicians. In 1997 he recorded the album Revisited! a new recording by the band Bechet / Spanier Big Four with clarinet, cornet, guitar / violin and bass. In Europe it was also with the Radio Kings of Martin Breinschmid heard.
