Allen is a town in Allegany County , New York, United States . At the time of the 2010 United States Census , Allen had 448 residents. The town is named after Ethan Allen .
The Town of Allen is located in the north-central part of Allegany County.
history
The Town of Allen was founded in 1823 and formed from parts of the Town of Angelica . In 1829 the territory was expanded to include parts of the Town of Birdsall .
