The Allsvenskan 2017/18 is the host of the Swedish second-highest level hockey league of the 2017/2018 season.

mode

The second highest Swedish league is divided into two groups. The subdivision is based on geographical criteria. The first four of the regular season play for promotion to the top Swedish division, the SSL. For places five to 9, the season ends with the last game of the regular season. Teams in ranks 10 to 12 are relegated directly to Division 1. They are assigned again according to geographical criteria.

Main round

The main round will be played between September 22, 2017 and March 11, 2018. The Allsvenskan Södra opens with the game between Visby IBK and FBC Kalmarsund.
