Vegetative characteristics

Aloe antandroi grows trunk-forming and branches at or near the base. The roots are woody. The shoots reach a length of 60 to 100 centimeters and are 5 to 7 millimeters thick. Usually they are supported by the surrounding vegetation. The approximately twelve to 20 triangular leaves form a loose rosette . The gray-green leaf blade is 10 to 15 inches long and 0.6 to 1 inches wide. The upper side of the leaf is occasionally covered with a few scattered small white spots.
