description
Vegetative characteristics
Aloe fievetii grows without a stem or with a short stem and is usually simple. The twelve to 16 lanceolate, pointed leaves form a dense rosette . The green, light reddish tinged leaf blade is 35 centimeters long and 5 to 6 centimeters wide. There are three to four small teeth on the slightly twisted tip of the blade. The pink teeth on the pink edge of the leaf are 2 to 3 millimeters long and 7 to 10 millimeters apart.
Inflorescences and flowers
The inflorescence is simple or has a branch. It reaches a length of up to 50 centimeters. The dense, straight-headed grapes are about 9 inches long and 4 inches wide. The egg-shaped, pointed, reddish brown bracts have a length of 5 millimeters and are just as wide. The slightly club-shaped, orange-colored flowers are on 30 millimeter long peduncles . The flowers are 27 to 30 millimeters long and rounded at their base. At the level of the ovary , they have a diameter of 5 to 6 millimeters. They are expanded beyond that. Your tepals are not fused together over a length of 14 millimeters. The stamens and the stylus barely protrude from the flower.
Systematics and distribution
Aloe fievetii is distributed in Madagascar on grassy humus pockets on granite rocks at an altitude of 1200 meters.
