Aloe steudneri is a species of aloes in the subfamily of the Affodill family (Asphodeloideae). The specific epithet steudneri honors Hermann Steudner who collected the type specimen of the species.

Vegetative characteristics
Aloe steudneri grows short stem-forming and branches from the base. The approximately 25 lanceolate, narrowed leaves form dense rosettes . The gray-green leaf blade is about 60 inches long and 12 to 15 inches wide. The pink teeth on the narrow, hyaline, pink-colored leaf margin are about 2 millimeters long and 10 to 40 millimeters apart.
Inflorescences and flowers
The inflorescence is simple or consists of three to five branches. It reaches a length of 70 to 90 centimeters. The rather dense, cylindrical grapes are 15 to 18 centimeters long. The ovate-lanceolate, pointed bracts have a length of 15 to 20 millimeters. The deep red flowers are on 15 to 30 millimeter long peduncles . The flowers are 40 to 45 millimeters long and rounded at their base. At the level of the ovary , the flowers have a diameter of 12 to 14 millimeters. They are not narrowed beyond that. Your outer tepals are almost not fused together. The stamens and the style protrude up to 2 millimeters from the flower.

Systematics and distribution
Aloe steudneri is widespread in Eritrea and Ethiopia in the Semien Mountains between rocks at heights of 2825 to 3500 meters.
