Alois Paul Trabucco
Alois Paul Trabucco (also Aloys Paul Trabucco ; * 1744 in Bormio ; † November 6, 1782 in Innsbruck ) was an Austrian physician in Vienna and Innsbruck.
Life
Alois Paul Trabucco attended the Jesuit high school in Bormio and then studied philosophy at the University of Vienna , then medicine with Anton de Haen and Heinrich Johann Nepomuk von Crantz . After his doctorate as Dr. med. In 1768 he worked for two years as an assistant in the Viennese poor and invalids house and at the building in Sankt Marx . In 1770 he became Protomedicus in his hometown of Bormio. In 1774 he moved to Innsbruck, where he opened a practice. In 1778 he was appointed associate professor and, in 1780, succeeded Franz Caspar Benedikt Egloff as full professor of anatomy at the University of Innsbruck . In 1781 he became the personal physician of Archduchess Maria Elisabeth, who lived in Innsbruck . In 1782 the University of Innsbruck was abolished by Emperor Joseph II and Trabucco dismissed with an annual salary of 300 guilders. He died that same year at the age of 38.
Trabucco was a freemason and master of the Innsbruck lodge "to the three mountains". In 1781 he founded the “Tyrolean Society of Arts and Sciences”, to which almost exclusively Freemasons belonged, including Swibert Burkhard Schiverek and Johann Nepomuk von Laicharting .
