Alraft is located on the L 3084 and is one of the smallest districts of the city of Waldeck in the north Hessian district of Waldeck-Frankenberg .
history
The place was first mentioned in 1206 when the numerous goods belonging to the Ober-Werbe monastery were listed . It can be assumed that the origin of Alrafts can be associated with the not far away monastery. The monastery had its outer courtyards here . A former water mill at Werbe , the "Klippmühle", is still a reminder of the use of water power in times gone by.
On October 1, 1971, as part of the regional reform in Hesse, the previously independent municipality of Alraft was incorporated into the town of Waldeck.
