Altdorf was a district of the municipality of Inden in the district of Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia .

location

Altdorf was on the Inde , which was relocated to a new river bed on September 2, 2005 . The state road L 241 ran through Altdorf from Weisweiler to Jülich between Kirchberg and the main town of Inden.

General

The place belonged until December 31, 1971 as an independent municipality to the Jülich district , from 1972 as part of the municipality of Inden to the reorganized Düren district . From the 1990s it gradually fell victim to the Inden opencast mine . Because of the demolition of the place, Inden / Altdorf was created as a new place for the resettled residents . The street names "Alter Markt", "Brockengasse", "Gronental", "Im Schlehental", "Löwenstraße" and "Pumpengasse" are Altdorf street names that were reused in Inden / Altdorf.

The relocation took about 15 years. The first residents relocated in 1987 and the last in March 2003. Most of the resettlers moved to Inden / Altdorf, a small part to Langerwehe / Jüngersdorf .

Agriculture moved to Aldenhoven- Weiler Hausen , four farms have chosen the location.
