Altenbeichlingen is a district of Kölleda in the Sömmerda district in Thuringia .

Geographical location

Altenbeichlingen in March 2015

The former parish church village with manor is located between Heldrungen and Kölleda southwest of the Schmücke . A connecting road runs through the village, which branches off the federal highway 85 in Schillingstedt and leads via Beichlingen and Battgendorf to Kölleda. There is a spring pond on the western edge of the village. The source stream that rises there unites with the Krebsbach and flows in a westerly direction to Schillingstedt, but already seeps into the subsoil 300 m south of the Schillingstedt location.

history

The village was first mentioned in a document on April 11, 1154. The place was under the patrimonial court of Beichlingen in the Prussian district of Eckartsberga until 1848 and was otherwise very closely connected to the former county of Beichlingen , which had been owned by the von Werthern family since the 16th century.

In 1822, 279 people lived in the 55 houses and four communal buildings of Altenbeichlingen. The Rote Ziegelhof, which was directly subordinate to the Patrimonial Court, and the Schieferhof, which was enfeoffed by the Naumburg Higher Regional Court , had special subordinates .
