Altenhofen is a cadastral municipality in the municipality of St. Valentin in the Amstetten district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were 120 building areas with a total of 67,553 m² and 156 gardens with a total of 371,181 m², in 1989/1990 there were also 120 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 247. In 2009/2010 there were 314 buildings on 628 construction areas.

Agriculture

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 512 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 11 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 526 hectares and 12 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 487 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 22 hectares. The average soil climate of Altenhofen is 52.6 (as of 2010).
