The Old Age Allowance Act ( AltGG ) is the legal basis in Germany for old age allowance , an alternative old-age insurance for civil servants who voluntarily leave their employment relationship for life , professional judges for life and professional soldiers in the service of the federal government . It comprises 17  paragraphs . Before the entry into force of the Age Benefits Act were these categories of persons in retirement compulsory supplementary insurance in the statutory pension insurance carried out. Remain the aforementioned persons in their employment contracts and enter into the age retirement they receive a pension , after which Civil Service Pensions Act (officials and judges) and the Military Pensions Act (professional soldiers) directed.

The Old Age Allowance Act was introduced by Article 1 of the “Act on the Granting of Old Age Allowance for Civil Servants, Judges and Soldiers Voluntarily Leaving Federal Service”. Articles 2-10 contained provisions on required in connection with the introduction of the Retirement Money changes in other laws, including the Federal Civil Service Act , the Civil Service Pensions Act , the Federal Disciplinary Act , the federal power sharing law , the Fourth Book of the Social Code , the Military Disciplinary Code , the Military Personnel Act , the Military Pensions Act and the Postal Employees Act . According to Article 11, the Old Age Benefit Act and its amendments came into force on September 4, 2013.

In 2018, the old age benefit order ( AltGZustAnO ) was issued.

Changes

The Old Age Allowance Act was most recently amended by Article 32 of the Act to dismantle dispensable orders in writing in federal administrative law .

Regulations in the countries

At least the states of Baden-Württemberg , Bremen , Hamburg , Hesse and Saxony have introduced regulations, some of which are initially limited in time, comparable to federal retirement benefits.
