The Althoff Hotels are a German hotel chain with 15 hotels in Germany , Switzerland , France and England . The company headquarters are in Cologne . The Ameron Hotels are a subgroup of the Althoff Hotels .

history

In 1984, the German entrepreneur and hotelier Thomas H. Althoff founded the Hotel Regent International in Cologne with his wife Elke Diefenbach-Althoff . In 1988 this became the private hotels of today's Althoff Collection. This includes six international 5-star hotels such as the London Hotel St. James's Hotel & Club and the Hotel Villa Belrose in Gassin near St. Tropez .

In Germany you can find the Grand Hotel Schloss Bensberg in Bergisch Gladbach , the Seehotel Überfahrt at Tegernsee , the Hotel Fürstenhof in Celle , and the Hotel am Schlossgarten in Stuttgart . Until its closure in 2015, the Hotel Schloss Lerbach in Bergisch Gladbach was also operated by Althoff Hotels.

Top gastronomy

The Althoff Hotels are known for their top gastronomy. The restaurants were awarded a total of twelve Michelin stars in 2013 . In 2020 it was eight stars among the following chefs: Joachim Wissler (three stars), Christian Jürgens (three stars), Denis Feix (one star) and William Drabble (one star).
