criticism
Michael Edele from laut.de puts the band between Black Stone Cherry and Nickelback . Singer Brent Smith always ensures that certain something with his singing . Albert Ranner from cdstarts.de criticizes the mix of quieter ballads and harder songs: As a cotton ball with a hard core, it is not always easy to differentiate between really decent and lousy shinedowns, but on "Amaryllis" this tiring feeling outweighs everything to have heard fresher and better elsewhere. The album is only for the die-hard alternative rock fan .
