The Ambach is a two and a half kilometers long right tributary of the Wiesbach .

The Ambach rises south of the nature sanctuary Ambachtal with pond on district Kirchheimbolanden and then flows to the north. After about a kilometer, it takes the brook from the Hermannskopf from the left . It flows into the Wiesbach near the Rothenkircherhof . The Ambach remains in the Donnersbergkreis throughout its course .
