Amedeus Msarikie

Amedeus Peter Msarikie (born September 1931 in Makundushi in Kirua-Vunjo; † February 7, 2013 in Nairobi ) was Bishop of Moshi .

Life

Amedeus Msarikie was ordained a priest on August 8, 1965 . He taught and was principal at St. James Junior Seminary and Kibosho Senior Seminary .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Moshi on March 21, 1986 . The episcopal ordination donated him to the Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , Cardinal Jozef Tomko , the same year on May 1; Co- consecrators were Cardinal Laurean Rugambwa , Archbishop of Dar es Salaam , and Cardinal Maurice Michael Otunga , Archbishop of Nairobi .

On November 21, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
