Amphoe Hat Samran ( Thai : อำเภอ หาด สำราญ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the south of Trang Province . Trang Province is located in the southwest of the southern region of Thailand .

In the east lies the Palian district , in the north Kantang . To the west and south lies the Andaman Sea .

Parts of the Mu Ko Phetra National Park are in the district.

history

On April 30, 1994 Hat Samran was initially set up as a small district ( King Amphoe ) by separating it from the Amphoe Palian .

On May 15, 2007 the Thai government decided to raise all 81 King Amphoe to simple amphoe status in order to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette "Issue 124 chapter 46" on August 24, 2007 this decision officially entered into force.

Local administration

There are no cities ( thesaban ) in the district. Each of the three tambon is administered by a " Tambon Administrative Organization " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organization, TAO).
