Amphoe Wang Wiset ( Thai : อำเภอ วัง วิเศษ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the north-west of Trang Province . Trang Province is located in the southwest of the southern region of Thailand .

Adjacent counties and areas are (from east clockwise): The Amphoe Huai Yot , Mueang Trang and Sikao of Trang province, the Amphoe Khlong Thom and Lam Thap of Krabi province and Amphoe Bang Khan of the province of Nakhon Si Thammarat .

history

Wang Wiset was initially set up as a small district ( King Amphoe ) on July 15, 1981 , by separating five tambon from the Sikao district . The first temporary administration building was on the site of Wat Rat Rangsan ( วัด ราษฎร์รังสรรค์ , also: Wat Ton Prang - วัด ต้น ปรง ), it was opened on November 2, 1981.

On May 21, 1990, Wang Wiset received full Amphoe status.

Local administration

Wang Wiset ( เทศบาล ตำบล วัง วิเศษ ) is a small town ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon Wang Maprang Nuea.

There are also five "Tambon Administrative Organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO) for the Tambon or the parts of Tambon in the county that do not belong to any city.
