Amphoe Mueang Chanthaburi ( Thai : อำเภอ เมือง จันทบุรี ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in Chanthaburi Province . Chanthaburi Province is located in the eastern part of the central region of Thailand .

geography

Chanthaburi is located in the south-east of Thailand in the middle of a lush plain of Maenam Chanthaburi, just a little off the coast of the Gulf of Thailand . The distance to the capital Bangkok is about 245 kilometers.

Neighboring districts (clockwise from north): Khao Khitchakut , Makham , Khlung , Laem Sing and Tha Mai districts of Chanthaburi Province.

  • Chanthaburi (Thai: เทศบาล เมือง จันทบุรี ) consisting of the complete Tambon Talat, Wat Mai.
  • Chanthanimit (Thai: เทศบาล เมือง จัน ท นิมิต ) consisting of the complete tambon chanthanimit.
  • Tha Chang (Thai: เทศบาล เมือง ท่าช้าง ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Tha Chang.

There are seven municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Khai Noen Wong (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ค่าย เนิน วง ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Bang Kacha.
  • Salaeng (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล แสลง ) consisting of the complete tambon Salaeng.
  • Phlapphla (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล พลับพลา ) consisting of parts of the tambon Phlapphla.
  • Bang Kacha (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บาง กะ จะ ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Bang Kacha.
  • Phlapphla Narai (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล พลับพลา นารายณ์ ) consisting of the parts of the Tambon Khlong Narai, Phlapphla.
  • Nong Bua (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนองบัว ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Nong Bua.
