Amphoe Khao Khitchakut ( Thai : อำเภอ เขา คิ ช ฌ กูฏ ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in Chanthaburi Province . The Chanthaburi Province is located in the east of the central region of Thailand .

geography

Neighboring Amphoe (clockwise from west): Kaeng Hang Maeo , Soi Dao , Pong Nam Ron , Makham , Mueang Chanthaburi and Tha Mai . All Amphoe are in Chanthaburi Province.

An important river in the county is the Maenam Chanthaburi ( Chantaburi River ), which has its source in the Khao Khitchakut National Park .

history

Amphoe Khao Khitchakut was first established on July 1, 1993 as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by being separated from Amphoe Makham .

On May 15, 2007 the Thai government decided to raise all 81 King Amphoe to simple amphoe status in order to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette "Issue 124 chapter 46" on August 24, 2007 this decision officially entered into force.

The Chanthaburi sub- campus of the Technical University of Rajamangala Tawan-ok is located in Amphoe Khao Khitchakut .

The district of Khao Khitchakut is divided into five tambon ("sub-districts" or "parishes"), which are further subdivided into 45 muban ("villages").

  • Khlong Phlu (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล คลอง พลู ) consisting of the complete Tambon Khlong Phlu.
  • Chanthakhlem (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล จัน ท เข ลม ) consisting of the complete tambon Chanthakhlem.
  • Phluang (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล พลวง ) consisting of the complete tambon Phluang.
  • Takhian Thong (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ตะเคียนทอง ) consisting of the complete tambon Takhian Thong.
  • Chak Thai (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ชา ก ไทย ) consisting of the complete Tambon Chak Thai.
