Amphoe Nikhom Kham Soi ( Thai อำเภอ นิคมคำสร้อย ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the north of the province of Mukdahan . The Mukdahan Province is located in the western part of the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Neighboring counties are (clockwise from west): Nong Sung , Mueang Mukdahan and Don Tan in Mukdahan Province, Loeng Nok Tha in Yasothon Province .

history

Nikhom Kham Soi was initially set up on June 2, 1975 as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by separating the five tambon Nikhom Kham Soi, Na Kok, Na Udom, Nong Waeng and Kok Daeng from the Mueang Mukdahan district . On March 25, 1979, Nikhom Kham Soi was promoted to Amphoe. When the new Mukdahan Province was created in 1982, Nikhom Kham Soi was one of the counties that originally made up the new province.

There are two municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Nikhom Kham Soi (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นิคมคำสร้อย ) consists of parts of the Tambon Nikhom Kham Soi, Na Kok and Chok Chai,
  • Rom Klao (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ร่มเกล้า ) consists of the entire tambon Rom Klao.

There are also six " Tambon Administrative Organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO):
