Amphoe Nong Ya Sai ( Thai : อำเภอ หนอง หญ้า ไซ , pronunciation: ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː nɔ̌ːŋ jâː sāj ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the western part of the Thai province of Suphan Buri . Suphan Buri is located in the west of the central region of Thailand .

Neighboring districts are made clockwise from the north: the Amphoe Dan Chang , Doem Bang Nang Buat , Sam Chuk and Don Chedi Province Suphan Buri, and Amphoe Lao Khwan of Kanchanaburi province .

history

Nong Ya Sai was initially set up on June 1, 1983 as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by separating the four tambon Nong Ya Sai, Nong Rathawat, Nong Pho and Chaeng Ngam from the Sam Chuk district . On May 21, 1990, it was officially given full amphoe status.
