NGC 7448 = Arp 13 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Pegasus in the northern sky . The galaxy has an angular extent of 2.6 '× 1.2' and an apparent magnitude of 11.4 mag. It is an estimated 106 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 75,000 ly . The supernovae SN 1997dt and SN 1980L were observed here.

Halton Arp organized his catalog of unusual galaxies into groups according to purely morphological criteria. This galaxy belongs to the class spiral galaxies with separated sections (Arp catalog) .

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 7442 , NGC 7454 , NGC 7463 , NGC 7465 .

The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on October 16, 1784 .
