NGC 7460 is a bar-spiral galaxy with extensive star formation areas of the Hubble type SB (s) b in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 149 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 60,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 7458 , NGC 7478 , NGC 7480 , among others .
The object was discovered on September 21, 1876 by the astronomer Édouard Stephan .
