UGC 212 = Arp 35 is a barred spiral galaxy in the constellation Pisces. It is an estimated 222 million light years from the Milky Way . Halton Arp organized his catalog of unusual galaxies into groups according to purely morphological criteria. This galaxy belongs to the class spiral galaxies with the shape of an integral sign (Arp catalog) . The galaxy probably interacts with the galaxy PGC 1431 .
