Amphoe Doem Bang Nang Buat ( Thai : อำเภอ เดิมบางนางบวช , pronunciation: ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː dɤ̄ːm bāːŋ nāːŋ bùat ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in the northeast of the province of Suphan Buri . Suphan Buri is located in the western part of the central region of Thailand .

The neighboring areas are clockwise from the north: Hankha and Sankhaburi areas of Chai Nat Province , Bang Rachan and Khai Bang Rachan areas of Sing Buri Province , Sawaeng Ha of Ang Thong Province , and Sam Chuk , Nong Ya Sai and Amphoe Dan Chang of Suphan Buri Province.

Doem Bang Nang Buat's main water resource is the Mae Nam Tha Chin (Tha Chin River), also known as the Mae Nam Suphan (Suphan River).

history

In the past, the Nang Buat district initially comprised a large area. Prince Damrong Rajanubhab and the governor of Suphan Buri decided on May 16, 1911 to separate the northernmost part and establish a new Doem Bang district. They also added two tambon the Hankha District of Province Chai Nat added and two tambon from the district of Bang Rachan the province of Sing Buri .

The provincial government changed the name of the Nang Buat district to Amphoe Sam Chuk in 1939 and added the syllables Nang Buat to the name of Doem Bang , so that it has been called Doem Bang Nang Buat ever since .

The administration building has been located on Chai-Nat-Suphan Buri Road in Tambon Khao Phra since 1995.

Attractions

  • The swamp of Bueng Chawak ( บึง ฉ วา ก ) on the Mae Nam Tha Chin (Tha Chin River) in the north of the district: originally part of the Tha Chin, the Bueng Chawak Chalerm was established in 1994 at the suggestion of the then Prime Minister Banharn Silpa-archa Phra Kiet Development Project ”was launched. A lake was dredged and an amusement park was created. Today there is the "Exhibition Center for Aquatic Animals" with a large, accessible aquarium and other zoo-like exhibitions and gardens such as the " Garden of Indigenous Vegetables ".

  • Pak Nam (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ปากน้ำ ) consisting of the complete Tambon Pak Nam.
  • Thung Khli (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ทุ่ง คลี ) consisting of the complete tambon Thung Khli.
  • Nong Krathum (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง กระทุ่ม ) consisting of the complete Tambon Nong Krathum.
  • Khao Phra (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เขา พระ ) consisting of the parts of the Tambon Khao Phra, Doem Bang.
  • Nang Buat (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นาง บวช ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Nang Buat.
  • Bo Kru (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ่อ กรุ ) consisting of parts of the tambon Bo Kru.
  • Khao Din (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เขา ดิน ) consisting of the complete Tambon Khao Din.
  • Doem Bang (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เดิม บาง ) consisting of parts of the tambon Doem Bang.
