Amphoe Mueang Suphan Buri (in Thai อำเภอ เมือง สุพรรณบุรี , pronunciation: ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː mɯ̄aŋ sù.pʰān būrīː ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the center of the Thai province of Suphan Buri . The province of Suphan Buri is located in the western part of the central region of Thailand .
geography
The city of Suphan Buri is located about 90 kilometers northwest of Bangkok on the Mae Nam Tha Chin ( Tha Chin River ). Remnants of the historic city are still on the right bank, the modern city is on the left bank.
Neighboring circles (clockwise from south): the Amphoe Bang Pla Ma , U Thong , Don Chedi and Si Prachan in the province of Suphan Buri, Amphoe Wiset Chai Chan in the province of Ang Thong and Amphoe Phak Hai in the province of Ayutthaya .
The largest river in the county is the Mae Nam Tha Chin ( Tha Chin River ), also known as the Mae Nam Suphan ( Suphan River ).
