The Glienicke / Rietz-Neuendorf office was a Brandenburg office formed in 1992 , in which 13 communities in the former Beeskow and Fürstenwalde districts (today the Oder-Spree district , Brandenburg ) had merged to form an administrative association. The seat of the official administration was in the municipality of Görzig . The Glienicke / Rietz-Neuendorf office was dissolved again in 2003. At the end of 2002 it had 4523 inhabitants in the last three municipalities that were part of the government.

Geographical location

The Glienicke / Rietz-Neuendorf office bordered the Odervorland office in the north, the Schlaubetal office in the northeast, the city of Beeskow in the southeast, the Tauche / Trebatsch office in the south, the Storkow office in the southwest and the Storkow office in the west to the office of Scharmützelsee .

In the course of the formation of offices in Brandenburg in 1992, 13 municipalities in the former Beeskow and Fürstenwalde districts merged to form the Glienicke / Rietz-Neuendorf office. On September 9, 1992, the Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg gave his approval for the establishment of the Glienicke / Rietz-Neuendorf office. September 15, 1992 was set as the date of establishment of the office. The approval was initially limited to September 15, 1994. The office was located in the municipality of Görzig . The time limit for approval was lifted from August 25, 1994. On December 31, 2001, Ahrensdorf, Birkholz, Buckow, Drahendorf, Görzig, Groß Rietz, Herzberg, Neubrück (Spree), Pfaffendorf, Sauen and Wilmersdorf merged to form the new municipality of Rietz-Neuendorf. On October 26, 2003, the municipalities of Alt Golm and Glienicke were incorporated into the municipality of Rietz-Neuendorf by law. The Glienicke / Rietz-Neuendorf office was dissolved and the Rietz-Neuendorf community became vacant. The municipality of Alt Golm lodged a municipal constitutional complaint before the constitutional court of the state of Brandenburg, but it was rejected.
