history

The forerunner of the office was the Hüttener Harde , also called Bergharde, first mentioned in 1519 . When Duke Friedrich took over the noble Hütten estate in 1523 , Hütten became the administrative center of all 23 villages of the Bergharde at that time. The historic office cabins existed - after the parcelling of the former Vorwerk huts - the Duchy of Schleswig from 1777 to 1867. Then it went into the province of Schleswig-Holstein and the county Eckernförde on. The Hütten Office was re-established in 1970 as part of the consolidation of offices associated with the district reform in Schleswig-Holstein.
