Office Heiligengrabe / Blumenthal

The office of Heiligengrabe-Blumenthal was a former office in Brandenburg , formed in 1992 , in which initially twelve municipalities in the then Wittstock district (now the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district , Brandenburg) were combined into an administrative association. It was dissolved again in 2003 as part of the municipal reform in Brandenburg .

Geographical location

The office of Heiligengrabe / Blumenthal was in what was then the Wittstock district (now the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district ) in the northern part of Brandenburg . It bordered in the north-west on the Meyenburg office , in the north and east on the Wittstock-Land office and the free city of Wittstock / Dosse (at that time only the actual urban area), in the south on the Kyritz and Gumtow offices and in the west on the Groß Pankow offices / Prignitz and Pritzwalk-Land .

The Minister of the Interior approved the establishment of the Heiligengrabe / Blumenthal Office on June 17, 1992 with effect from June 19, 1992. In the announcement in the official gazette for Brandenburg, the new office is named Office Blumenthal / Heiligengrabe. In an amendment notification of October 12, 1992, the name of the office was corrected to Amt Heiligengrabe / Blumenthal. The seat of the official administration was in the municipality of Heiligengrabe. It included the municipalities:

  5. Liebenthal
  6. Mulberry forest
  7. Papenbruch
  8. Vernikov
  9. Zaatzke
  10. Blumenthal
  11. Rosenwinkel
  12. Grabow

The Heiligengrabe / Blumenthal office was dissolved on October 26, 2003 as part of the municipal reform in Brandenburg . The municipalities belonging to the office were incorporated into the new municipality of Heiligengrabe which is free of office and are now districts of Heiligengrabe.

The municipalities of Herzsprung and Königsberg (previously Wittstock-Land office ) successfully defended themselves before the constitutional court of the state of Brandenburg with a municipal constitutional complaint against their incorporation into the city of Wittstock / Dosse. They were incorporated into Heiligengrabe on December 31, 2004.
