The Office Schipkau was an office in the state of Brandenburg formed in 1992 , in which eight municipalities in the former Senftenberg district (today the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district , Brandenburg ) had come together to form an administrative association. The seat of the official administration was in the municipality of Schipkau . The office of Schipkau was dissolved in 2001 and the municipalities belonging to the office were incorporated into the town of Großräschen. It last had 8,350 inhabitants.
Geographical location
The office Schipkau bordered in the north on the offices of Kleine Elster (Niederlausitz) and Großräschen , in the east on the city Senftenberg , in the south on the office Am Senftenberger See and the city Schwarzheide and in the west on the city Lauchhammer .
history
The Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg approved the creation of the Schipkau Office on July 20, 1992. July 31, 1992 was set as the date of establishment of the office. The office was initially located in the municipality of Schipkau and consisted of six municipalities in what was then Senftenberg :
The seat of the office in Schipkau was relocated on October 1, 2000 from the municipality of Schipkau to the municipality of Klettwitz. On December 31, 2001, the communities of Annahütte, Drochow, Hörlitz, Klettwitz, Meuro and Schipkau merged to form the new community of Schipkau.
Office Director
The first and last official director was Siegurd Heinze. He later also became mayor of the community of Schipkau. He gave up this office in January 2010 and became District Administrator of the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district in February 2010.
