The Office Grossraeschen was a 1992 formed office in the country Brandenburg , where eight municipalities in the former circles Calau and Senftenberg (now Oberspreewald-Lausitz ) had formed a management group. The seat of the official administration was in the city of Großräschen . The Großräschen office was dissolved in 2001 and the municipalities belonging to the office were incorporated into the town of Großräschen.

Geographical location

The Großräschen office bordered the Altdöbern office in the north and northeast , the Free State of Saxony in the southeast, the city of Senftenberg and the Schipkau office in the south, and the Kleine Elster office (Niederlausitz) in the west .

history

On July 9, 1992, the Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg gave his approval for the creation of the Großräschen office. July 21, 1992 was set as the date of establishment of the office. The office was based in the town of Großräschen and initially consisted of eight communities in the former districts of Calau and Senftenberg :

On March 1, 1997, the Sedlitz community was incorporated into the city of Senftenberg . On August 1, 1997, the community of Freienhufen was incorporated into the city of Großräschen. The municipality Woschkow was incorporated into the city of Großräschen on December 31, 1998. The communities Allmosen, Barzig, Saalhausen and Wormlage were incorporated into the city of Großräschen on December 31, 2001 and the Großräschen office was dissolved.
