Ananda Mikola

Ananda Mikola (born April 27, 1980 in Jakarta ) is a former Indonesian racing driver . In 2005 he was Asian Formula 3 champion . From 2005 to 2007 he competed in the A1 Grand Prix . He is the older brother of the racing driver Moreno Soeprapto .

Career

Mikola began his motorsport career in Indonesian racing series. He was active in karting in 1994 and was champion of the Indonesian group N in 1994 and 1995 . In 1996, Mikola in the formula sports and immediately became master of the formula Asia . In addition, he took in Europe in a race of 3 Championship Formula Italian part. In 1997, Mikola moved completely to Europe and started for Cevenini Junior in Italian Formula 3. He finished tenth overall. In 1998 he competed in the Italian Formula 3 championship for RC Motorsport . He achieved three podium finishes and finished the season in fifth place overall.

In 1999 Mikola moved to Edenbridge Racing in the Italian Formula 3000 championship . He achieved a pole position and finished the season on the 13th championship course. In 2000 , Mikola received a cockpit for the World Racing Team in the international Formula 3000 championship . He remained without points and failed to qualify in three races. He was 31st in the drivers' championship. 2001 Mikola started the Formula 3000 season for Team Astromega . After three races he was replaced by Dino Morelli without having scored any points . At the end of the season, Mikola was in 34th place. After a year off, Mikola competed in the 2003 World Series Light for RC Motorsport. With a second place as the best individual result, he finished seventh in the drivers' standings.

In 2004 Mikola returned to Asia and started two years in the Asian Formula 3 championship . In his first season he competed in four races and won three of them. In the driver standings he was in seventh place. In 2005 he won half of all races and was Asian Formula 3 champion ahead of John O'Hara .

In winter 2005/2006 Mikola competed in the newly founded A1 Grand Prix for the Indonesian team . A fifth place in Shanghai was his best result. In the end, his team was in 18th place in the team ranking. In the summer that followed, Mikola started in the Asian Formula Renault V6. He won two races and was third in the championship. In the 2006/2007 A1GP season , Mikola was a driver at ten out of eleven events. A tenth place was his best result and the team finished the season in 21st place. On the last race weekend he was represented by his younger brother Moreno Soeprapto . In the following season, Mikola took part in an event of the Euroseries 3000, the former Italian Formula 3000 championship, for G-Tec . With a third place as the best result, he achieved a podium placement. In the overall ranking he was 15th.

In 2008 , Mikola switched to the newly founded Speedcar Series , in which uniform silhouette vehicles were used. A third place in his home race at the Sentul International Circuit was his best result. At the end of the season he was in eighth place. In 2009, Mikola took part in two races of the Asian Porsche Carrera Cup .

Mikola has not been active in any racing series since 2010.
