Anas Yusuf Yassin

Anas Yusuf Yassin ( Arabic أنس ياسين, DMG Anas Yāsīn ; * May 1, 1934 in Ta'if ; † 1974 in Ankara ) was a Saudi businessman and diplomat . He was the firstborn son of Bashira Bint Ahmad Sitty and Yusuf Yassin ( Arabic يوسف ياسين; * 1888 in Latakia ; † April 19, 1962 in Dhahran ), a close confidante of Abd al-Aziz ibn Saud . He was the second husband of Samira Khashoggi (1935 - March 1986). She brought Dodi Al-Fayed into the marriage, and their child was named Jumana Yassin.

Education

From 1944 to 1952 he was trained at Victoria College, Alexandria in Egypt . From 1954 to 1956 he studied at the University of California . He received an honorary doctorate from Osmania University in Hyderabad, India .

Career

From 1958 to 1959 he headed the National Gibson Company, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. From 1959 to 1961 he chaired the Arab Trading Company. In 1962 he founded the al-Nasr Trading Office, Jeddah. In 1963 he joined the foreign service. In 1964 he was appointed ambassador and member of the Saudi Arabian delegation to the 19th General Assembly of the United Nations . From 1965 to 1967 he was employed at the Foreign Ministry in Jeddah. He was delegated to the session of the 21st General Assembly of the United Nations. From August 20, 1968 to 1973, he was ambassador to New Delhi , India.

In 1974 he was ambassador to Ankara , where he was killed in a car accident.
