Anatoly Andrejewitsch Kaschirow ( Russian Анатолий Андреевич Каширов ; born May 19, 1987 in Moscow , RSFSR ) is a Russian basketball player . Kaschirow was in the squad of CSKA Moscow at a young age, when they won the highest European club competition ULEB Euroleague in 2006 and 2008 in addition to Russian championships . After a season at Spartak Saint Petersburg, he played from 2009 for two years in the German basketball league with Mitteldeutschen BC and the Walter Tigers Tübingen and briefly in Greece before returning to Spartak Saint Petersburg. After two years he did not get a new contract here and at the end of 2013 he rejoined the relegation-threatened Walter Tigers in Germany.

Career

As an 18-year-old talent, Kaschirow switched to the professional squad of the Russian top club CSKA Moscow, but received little or no playing time in the top European league in the triumphs in the ULEB Euroleague in 2005/06 and 2007/08 and in the 2006/07 finals . In addition, the dominant Russian basketball club and series champion ZSKA achieved three Russian championships and two Russian cup wins under coach Ettore Messina , in 2006 in connection with the European Cup victory as a triple and in 2007 as a double . In 2008, the defeat in the final in the cup, like the defeat in the European Cup in 2007, prevented another triple. Despite a multi-year contract with ZSKA, he switched to Russian competitor Spartak from Saint Petersburg in 2008 and a year later to German first division promoted MBC from Weißenfels in order to get more playing time. The first division returner MBC was able to achieve relegation in the first year without any problems and Kaschirow moved again within the league to competitor Walter Tigers from Tübingen . With the Tigers he missed the leap into the play-offs for the German championship in the 2010/11 BBL season . After the early end of the season in Tübingen, he left the club and switched to the Greek club Aris BC from Thessaloniki in order to strengthen it in the play-offs for the Greek championship. With Aris they were eliminated in the semifinals of the Greek championship. For the following season he returned to his home country and plays again for BK Spartak Saint Petersburg. But again he did not make the breakthrough in his home country and after two seasons in 2013 did not get a new contract. Then Kaschirow played for the Latvian club from Ventspils , which after a month of contract in November 2013 could not decide to continue. Then Kaschirow was free again for the Walter Tigers, who were threatened by relegation from the top German division after a weak start to the season in December 2013.
