Marilena Kirchner

Marilena Kirchner (born July 10, 1997 in Fulda ) is a German folk music singer.

Career

Marilena Kirchner lives with her parents and brother Valentin near Tann . Her father also works as a musician, so she appeared on stage for the first time at the age of four. In 2004 she learned to play the piano and a little later to play the guitar .

Four years later, Kirchner won a larger regional song contest, where the lyricist couple Peter and Gaby Wessely became aware of the young singer. Together they worked on the song The First Kiss , with which Kirchner took part in the 2009 Children's Grand Prix of Folk Music in South Tyrol . In autumn 2009 her single CD was released, The First Kiss, with three titles.

After a few appearances in her region, she was invited to Europe's largest cultural festival , the Danube Island Festival in Vienna , in June 2010 . There she stepped u. a. with Andy Borg , Nik P. and the Nockalm Quintet . The KiKA also became aware of the singer and accompanied her to Vienna in a report.

In 2011 Kirchner signed a contract with the Obermain Produktion label . Then work began on her debut album. She was supported in the work by Uwe Altenried ( Klostertaler ) and Gottfried Würcher ( Nockalm Quintet ) as well as by Wesselys. The album was released in July 2011.

On February 3, 2011, she had her first TV appearance on Andy's Musikparadies . On May 7th, she performed in the Musikantenstadl , where she won the young talent competition. On December 31, she won the overall ranking of all young talent competition winners of 2011 as part of the Silvesterstadl and thus received the Stadlstern 2011.

On December 16, Kirchner was awarded the Herbert Roth Prize in the “Young Soloists” category at the Herbert Roth Gala . On July 26th, 2014 she released her third album "Hey DJ lay a Polka!" On the occasion of her 2nd Marilena Festival.
