After working together, Altenried joined the band. Together with them he produced the track "An a Wunder hob i believes", which won the 1993 Grand Prix of Folk Music . Soon afterwards he took over the musical direction of the band. In addition to the keyboards, he completed the wind section on the baritone and trombone with Markus Wolfahrt on the flugelhorn and Gerhard Tschann on the saxophone. During his 13 years working for the Klostertaler he produced 13 albums, 11 of which reached gold and three platinum status. Altogether Altenried sold more than 8 million records with the Klostertalern . At the end of 2005 he left the Klostertaler, which dissolved completely in 2010. Since 2006 Altenried has dedicated himself entirely to writing, composing and producing music.
