Catherine Heart (* 28. July 1979 in Ilmenau ) is a German singer and presenter , whose repertoire Pop - pop , popular hits and musical melodies includes.

In her childhood, Katharina Herz sang in various choirs and took piano, accordion and singing lessons. As a teenager, she led her own gospel choir. After graduating from high school, Katharina Herz was one of thirteen students selected from 300 applicants and studied classical opera singing at the Liszt School of Music Weimar . During the six years of study she received lessons in singing, theater, dance and acting. In 1996 she appeared for free on the talent show Herzklopfen by Heinz Quermann in the Rosentalhalle Pößneck. She was subsequently promoted by the talent show team. In 1998 the music producer Günther Behrle brought Katharina Herz to his Munich studio together with trumpeter Torsten Benkenstein . She achieved fame through over 220 TV and 1,300 live appearances, numerous tours (moderation and singing) and through winning the superhit parade of folk music on ZDF in 1998, winning the golden tuning fork in 1999 and three times winning the musical title in the MDR (together with the trumpeter Torsten Benkenstein).

In 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017 Katharina Herz moderated the “Katharina Herz & Friends Festival” in the Ilmenau festival hall with numerous guests; u. a. Andy Borg , Die Junge Zillertaler , Mario and Christoph, Die Schäfer , Rudy Giovannini , Reiner Kirsten , Uwe Busse , De Martha, Ricky King and Graziano . Katharina Herz was a member of the jury for the casting show Herzklopfen gratis . Since 2016 she has moderated the show in Pößneck every year and presents the talents. In 2016 she was honored with the honorary award of the “Bundestalentepreis der Entertainmentkunst” at “Herzklopfen Free”. Since April 2018 Katharina Herz has been moderating the programs "Stars, Stories and Music" and "Stars in the Schlagerhimmel" on the Austrian teleshopping channel Melodie Express . In October 2018 Katharina Herz released her album "Herztöne" and presented her first solo concert at the gala "Herztöne" in the Arnstädter Theater on the occasion of her 20th stage anniversary. On January 31st, 2020 Katharina Herz released the new hit album "Alles hat seine Zeit". The complete lyrics come from the pen of Hans-Ulrich Esp, who is also executive producer of the album. The album was musically produced by Ralf Rudnik.

Katharina Herz has been married to her husband Marco since 2007 and has two daughters (Ophelia born in 2009, Saphira born in 2014)
