Andrea Gemma FDP (* 7. June 1931 in Naples , † 2. September 2019 in Rome ) was an Italian he clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Isernia-Venafro .

Life

Andrea Gemma entered the Congregation of the Sons of Divine Providence in Velletri as an aspirant at the age of 10 . He was ordained a priest on April 28, 1957 in Rome . He then taught Latin and Greek at the Lyceum in Villa Moffa from 1958 to 1969. From 1969 to 1978 he was pastor in the parish of Ognissanti in Rome and at the same time Prefect of the XIX prefecture. of the Diocese of Rome. From 1978 he was pastor in Avezzano . In 1980 he became vicar general of his religious order, then general secretary and from 1987 general councilor of his order. From 1980 to 1990 he was director of the official newsletter of his parish, Don Orione Oggi.
