Andrea Lorz

Andrea Lorz (* 1947 in Altenburg ) is a German historian . Her research focus includes the history of the Jews in Leipzig .

Life

Lorz studied history and pedagogy in Leipzig and Berlin , 1981 was it at the Academy of Social Sciences of the Central Committee of the SED in the field of political science on the role of party collectives in industrial combines the GDR doctorate. She then worked as a research assistant at the University of Leipzig until the fall of the Wall and the peaceful revolution in the GDR . After activities with a focus on Leipzig's Jewish history in the PRO Leipzig eV association and in the Leipzig City History Museum , Andrea Lorz worked for several years at the memorial for forced labor in Leipzig , and in 2012 she retired. Andrea Lorz lives and works in Leipzig.
